“Songbirds were a joy”

The ranch lies in a beautiful area of Central Oregon. I love agricultural regions. I had fun throwing balls or pine cones with Tex, the Australian Shepherd. I had brought some apples and carrots for the horses and they loved them. The songbirds were a joy. The farm is away from city lights so enjoying the stars at night was special. The walks or hikes in the meadows and through the trees were lovely. The ranch is in a good location for visits to Smith Rocks and the Painted Hills. If you want a break from the Internet and your cell phone this is the place to go and recoup.

“Great place to escape to for the weekend”

The Wine Down Ranch was a great place to escape to for the weekend. The location is private, quiet, and idyllic. My husband, myself, and our dog enjoyed hiking the trails on the ranch and were impressed with the view of the cascades at the top! The ranch dogs were very friendly and willingly accompanied us on our hikes around the property. The free-roaming horses and cattle were fun to encounter. We initially sought out the property due to the proximity of the crooked canyon scenic bikeway (which we did and it was beautiful!). Would definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful gem deep in the Prineville country side. Mary and Roy are wonderful and go above and beyond hospitality. If you are looking to get away from the stress of city life and are looking for simplicity and solitude, this is the place for you. — Karen, Airbnb guest

“Everything I could have asked for”

Absolutely wonderful place to spend some time. The guestbook was loaded with amazing suggestions and the space had everything I could have asked for: views, quiet, and tons of hiking right outside the door!

“My kids asked if we could come back”

My two kids and I had a great time! The tiny house is so close to many wonderful natural activities! And we loved getting to visit with all the friendly ranch animals! My kids asked if we could come back often! The house was cozy, clean, and accommodating!

“We enjoyed disconnecting from the world”

The tiny house was adorable and perfect for 2 people. It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with things you’ll need. The property was gorgeous and amazing to explore. We enjoyed disconnecting from the world and enjoying the beautiful scenery. 100% recommend staying here!

“I wish they would let me move in”

This place was truly above and beyond. I wish they would let me move in! You're waking up right next to horses and the dogs are always around to play. You can walk around the entire property (over 2k acres) and it's very secluded. We ended up buying some meat from the hosts and it was amazing. Loved it so much we stayed an extra night!
