The Wine Down Ranch is a family-owned Central Oregon ranch with a landscape made up of scenic meadows, managed forestlands, and rock vistas. With 2100 acres nestled against the Ochoco National Forest, there’s a little something here for everyone.
COWS & HAY
The Wine Down Ranch is a full-time cattle ranch. We raise Chianina-Black Angus cattle for commercial and private sale of all-natural grass-fed beef. Our cows spend the summer grazing in the national forest, and we bring them home to be tended and fed through the fall, winter, and early spring. We raise meadow grass hay on 100 acres by the beautiful McKay Creek in early to mid-summer, employing flood and sprinkle irrigation.
Natural grass-fed beef raised on Wine Down Ranch is available to purchase year-round, in quantities of quarters. A quarter of beef is generally 130-160 lbs of hanging weight and fills about 1/3 of an upright freezer. Wine Down Ranch Beef can either be grass or grain-finished. We work with the best butchers in Central Oregon to ensure the beef is aged, cut, and wrapped according to your preference.. Visit our Marketplace to place a deposit on your next order.
