We will have food and beverages (bottled water, soda pop, beer and wine) and ice available for purchase during festival hours. Potable water is available on site, please bring your own containers.

How much (food, supplies) can I leave behind?
NONE. Please be responsible for all your trash and recycling when you leave. Garbage bins will be available all weekend for some trash disposal, but not all. Be prepared to Pack IN and Pack OUT all trash and belongings. Camping areas are seasonal home to livestock and refuse can pose serious threats. Please respect the property by not littering!

Yes. Vendors will be open during gate hours to sell food, water, ice, coffee, alcohol, beverages, merchandise and handmade goods. Allan Bros Coffee Roasters will have a coffee cart and breakfast items available in the morning, and coffee and blended drinks all day. Outlaw Grill and BBQ, Pacific Edge Events and For the Love of Nuts will be offering food items. Bigfoot Beverages is sponsoring the alcohol service area, where we'll be featuring beers from Central Oregon breweries and mixed drinks featuring Crater Lake Spirits. An artisan market and General Store merchandise tent will be open starting Friday.

Is alcohol permitted?
A moderate amount of alcohol (as defined by OLCC) can be brought into campgrounds by adults 21 years of age or older. No visible open containers of alcohol and no glass are allowed in the campgrounds or Festival Grounds at any time. Alcohol will be available for sale in a designated location in the event venue. Please help us be sure that anyone consuming alcohol must be at least 21 years old.

(PLEASE NOTE: A moderate amount of alcohol will be permitted for patrons who are 21+ in the camping areas. Moderate is described as 1 (one) case of canned beer and 1 (one) plastic bottle of alcohol per 21+ person.

Can I sell items to other campers?
No outside vending will be allowed, except for vendors who have been selected to sell at Moonshadow Festival. Limited opportunities remain, contact winedownranch@gmail.com for a vendor application.

The festival and camping areas look really big. Can I have my own way to get around?
Personal transportation (bicycles, ATV's, etc) are prohibited beyond parking lots, and may strictly be used for transportation to/from the event. Bike racks/locks are not provided.

All waterways (dry or wet streams, springs, troughs, etc.) are OFF LIMITS except at designated crossings and will be strictly enforced. Respect all festival signs and boundaries, no exceptions.

Can I bring my dog or pet?
We will allow dogs that are 20 pounds or under into the campgrounds ONLY. If you arrive with a bigger dog, you'll be asked to leave the premises without a refund. Dogs must be on leash at all times and are NOT allowed in the festival area. You are allowed to hike with your dog on the ranch, as long as it is leashed. Because of the temperatures in August, we ask that you only consider bringing your dog if absolutely  necessary. Please be sensitive toyour dog's needs. Shade is considerably limited in the tent camping area, so unless you have a shade cover or air conditioning for your dog, we highly advise you do not bring your dog. Be sure to pack enough water for your dog as well as every human in your camp spot. Picking up after your dogs is mandatory. Trash receptacles are provided in campgrounds.

The only exception on pet size is for licensed service animals that must be on leash. The other 51 weekends a year, Wine Down Ranch is dog-friendly for our Airbnb guests who want to bring their pets.

What else do I need to know before buying my ticket?

  • Be prepared for limited cellular service. Verizon and US Cellular have the best network that covers festival grounds, but all cellular service is expected to be impacted due to the influx of activity in Central Oregon over eclipse weekend.
  • All vehicles and bags are subject to search by Event staff.
  • Failure to comply with any rules may result in expulsion from the event and campgrounds without refund.

Can I buy a weekend pass without staying overnight?
We do not offer a weekend pass for daily visitors. Visitors who want to attend more than one day can buy multiple single day passes at $25/each for admission Saturday, Sunday and $50 for Monday, along with a weekend parking pass ($25).

Are there discounts for children?
Children ages 10 and younger are admitted free to Moonshadow Festival with a paid adult. Please add a free child’s ticket (camping or day pass) to your ticket order for every eligible child in your party. Youth ages 11-17 are eligible for a discounted Junior pass, which is $100 for camping. Guests under 13 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times while on Festival property.

What’s included in the Festival pass?
Each overnight camper entering with a tent or RV pass will receive a campsite and festival wristband which permits entry to campgrounds and festival areas starting Friday, August 18. At registration check-in, each camper will receive solar eclipse safety glasses for viewing the August 21 eclipse, along with a commemorative Silipint wine glass (that glows in the dark!).

All general festival activities, including live music, movies, dancing, ranch demonstrations, hiking and yoga are free to attendees once on site, whether with an overnight wristband or day pass. See the current schedule here. There may be limited add-on experiences led by local professionals added to the schedule, which will be an additional fee and registration process. Learn more about our performers and entertainment.

Are there restrictions for Day Pass attendees?
Overnight stays are not available for single-day pass holders. Day pass holders will not be admitted into camping areas, only into festival grounds and on marked hiking trails. Half day passes do not allow for admission to the festival until 12pm. All day pass holders must exit the festival before gates close for the night.

What outdoor recreation options are available to me at Moonshadow Festival?
Morning and starlight yoga and guided hiking will be part of the weekend’s activities. On your own, use of hiking trails is limited to daylight hours. Venturing beyond festival and camping grounds after 9:00 PM will be considered trespassing. Please hike only on designated trails. Multiple footwear options are recommended for various activities.

PARKING

Is parking included in my (camping or day) pass?
Parking is NOT included with any festival pass. Parking is $25 per vehicle for entire weekend or $10/day for day pass parking area.

Will I have the same parking spot all weekend?
If you choose to leave the festival property at any time, you are not guaranteed parking in the same location.

Can I leave my car overnight if I have a day pass?
Any vehicles in the Day-Use parking lot past 11:30pm are subject to a fine of $25 (which is equal to a weekend parking pass) or towing at owner’s expense.

CAMPING

I only want to camp for one or two nights, not four. Is that allowed?
Camping pass holders are allowed access to enter and leave the campgrounds during gate hours anytime between 3pm Friday, Aug. 18 and 12pm Tuesday, Aug. 22. Camp sites are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. We will have space for campers who arrive Saturday or Sunday, but campsites will be limited to the space that remains. There is no re-entry or re-setup for a camping pass holder once a campsite is packed up and abandoned. Campers will be allowed to remove vehicles from the property, but are not guaranteed the same parking spot.

Available camping passes available are tent camping ($200 per individual) or RV-trailer camping ($400, includes two overnight wristbands). Additional campers in an RV-trailer may be added for $200 per person.

What amenities are offered in the campgrounds?
All camping is “Dry” with no hookups, electricity or water in either the RV or tent campgrounds. We will have no showers on site, but portable toilets and wash stations will be dispersed throughout the campground and festival grounds. Those with RV-trailers are encouraged to use their own bathrooms to ease the strain on festival infrastructure. Quiet hours will be enforced between 12:00 AM (midnight) to 8:00 AM every day.

Are there hookups or dumping sites for my RV or trailer?
Campgrounds are set in our cattle grazing pastures and hay fields. No RV hookups are available. Dumping waste anywhere on the festival grounds is strictly prohibited.

How do I get a campsite with my friends/family/groups?
Camp spaces in the RV and tent campgrounds are assigned upon arrival. Specific spaces cannot be reserved in advance. If side-by-side spaces are desired, all camping pass holders or RVs/trailers need to arrive together.

There are no 'size restrictions' for tents and campsites, but only use as much space as you really need. Tent campers will need to inform staff at the gate how many campers will be in the site together, and sites will be allocated first-come first served.

My RV is really big. Is there enough room to park it?
RV spaces measure 20’ by 50’. Space "around" your RV for setting up tents, chairs, etc will be limited. Oversize RV’s must arrange for larger space when purchasing tickets by contacting Event organizers, and a separate area for oversized motor coaches will be available.

Can I park next to my campsite?
Motorized Vehicles are not allowed in the tent camping site, and must be parked in the adjacent tent camp parking lot. Tent Campground parking will be available close to your tent site (but not at your camp site) for easy access.
